As Kathryn Boughton of the Litchfield County Times reports, Democrats in Kent spent a recent meeting discussing how best to beat Republican Andrew Roraback and help the Democratic nominee.

Dan Roberti, a Kent resident who lost to Elizabeth Esty in the Democratic primary, sent an email out to Democratic supporters int he town recently, urging them to get on the ball.

“We don’t have time to waste as Democrats,” he said in his e-mail. “…[W]e must all unite strongly behind Elizabeth Esty. … Kent and the NW corner are crucial as this is big-time Andrew territory. We all like Andrew as a person, and many Dems and unaffiliated [voters] feel that way, but being a nice guy doesn’t change the fact that a vote for him is a vote for Boehner.”
