Elizabeth Esty, voted against a paid sick leave bill in 2009 when she was a state representative from Cheshire.

Though she has since praised the 2011 version that passed the state’s General Assembly and was signed into law as a potential national model, according to a report by The Record Journal, Esty will be discussing her vote against paid sick leave when she meets today with the Working Families Party.

Chris Donovan, who lost to Esty in the primary, currently has the Working Families Party endorsement and the line on the ballot that comes with it. For Esty to obtain that ballot line, she must get the party’s endorsement.

Chris Donovan must also voluntarily take his name off the ballot which, as of yesterday, he had not.
